So, is he talking about BobbyCrosbysGirl? An arch enemy? Sorry, the answer may be common knowledge, but I live way out in the boonies (Tokyo) and never get to go to games, so I have no idea who he's talking about.

Just want to say thank you to everyone here who voted for me in the A's "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" contest. I won! Mrs. Ice Cream and I got two MVP tickets to Friday's 9-2 beatdown of the Angels by Billy O'Beane and his Irish Mob (Jack Hannahan, Donnie Murphy, Andrew Brown, Dallas Braden and the new muscle imported from Chicago--Sean Gallagher and Matt Murton.) Along with the Sweeney boys and the younger laddies coming up like Patterson, Donaldson and Doolittle--we'll be running the AL West in no time.

AN, Me and my brother haven't been back in Oakland for about ten years, and we are finally making a visit, but just had a couple questions. Does the BART run anywhere near the stadium? And if so how close is it? If it doesn't are there any decent motel/hotels near the stadium in a fairly safe neighborhood? If the BART does run to the stadium: would there be a hotel/motel one would recommend near a BART stop in San Leandro (which is where we used to live, and want to revisit)? Any advice on the subject would be appreciated.

The A's All-Star promo statue on a dreary NYC afternoon. There are like 40 statues placed around the city for All Star game awareness, this is actually the closest to my home and the only statue I've seen. Underwhelming but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Ellis, Chavez, Crosby, Thomas, Harden, Duke, Blanton, Street, Gaudin, Garcia. Thomas left for a while, and Garcia only pitched 2 innings in 2006. So really only 8 left. One of those days wish we could keep our players.

On Thursday, July 10th, after the A's host the Seattle Mariners at 12:35 p.m., A's fans can meet A's catcher KURT SUZUKI at The Englander in San Leandro. Kurt will sign autographs one hour following the game at The Englander, which is located at 101 Parrott Street in San Leandro.

The next day Friday, July 11th, don't miss your chance to meet A's players DARIC BARTON and RYAN SWEENEY at City Center Plaza at Broadway and 12th Street in Downtown Oakland. Daric and Ryan will be there from noon to 1 p.m. signing autographs - then head to the Coliseum for a great game and Firework show!
